A Simple & Delicious Halloween Dinner
By Matt Robinson of Real Food by Dad, October 28, 2015
Halloween is just around the corner and like many of you, it’s shaping up to be a big night. My kids have been doing costume runs for two weeks now. Halloween evening can be a bit frantic between the anticipation, the excitement and just trying to get them ready to go out. Not to mention that getting them to eat dinner is a small feat in itself.
But this year, I’ve discovered a little hack to easily herd my boys to the table. Are you ready? (It’s pretty simple, so I don’t know why I’ve never thought of this before.) Here it is — get them in the kitchen cooking!
I gave my little guy a choice about whether to make the Chicken Marinara into a casserole bake, but he preferred the more hands-on method of cooking it up in a skillet.
Although next time we are going to try the casserole route by pouring the Chicken Marinara meal into a pan, giving it a heavy sprinkling of cheese, then browning it in the oven.
This meal was so easy to make – perfect to fuel the family up on a busy night. We can’t wait to recreate it this Saturday. If only the big day could come sooner!
