Before 1963, you would rarely see Chicken Wings on a menu – that is until a restaurant owner in Buffalo, New York, served up a quick late-night snack for her son and his college buddies. She deep-fried some wings, tossed them in butter and hot sauce, and the Chicken Wing as we know it today was born.
