Schwan’s Cares: Raising Funds to Give Back to the Community
By Schwan's Home Service, April 27, 2016
Community service is a huge part of the 4-H experience. In fact, according to a recent study, 4-H participants are four times more likely to make contributions to their communities. The Forest View 4-H in Osceola, Wisconsin has found a way to make giving back easier. They’re raising funds for several community service projects through a Schwan’s Cares fundraiser, and they’re thrilled with the results, according to a representative from the club:
“The Schwan’s Fundraiser is the best and easiest fundraiser we have ever been part of. Set up is super easy and selling is very simple. We just sent out a few emails, shared on Facebook and told our family and friends that already love Schwan’s about it. There are no door to door sales, no collecting money and best of all no deliveries to be made. Thanks to Schwan’s they take care of all of this for us.”
This is the first time that the Forest View 4H has used Schwan’s Cares, but the small community of Osceola, Wisconsin is home to several groups that have used Schwan’s Cares for fundraising efforts, including the Somerset Youth Hockey Association, the West Immanuel Youth group and the Osceola Middle School. The Forest View 4-H Club is well on its way towards reaching its goal, and look forward to seeing what they will earn throughout the remainder of the campaign.
