Schwan’s Cares™ Success: A Different Approach to Learning & Fundraising
By Schwan's Home Service, November 29, 2016
At Highland Community Middle School in Highland, Wisconsin, hands-on learning is a priority. What does that mean? It means activities like water testing in a local stream, attending the ballet, and maintaining a registered school forest, garden and pond ecosystem right on our school campus in our outdoor learning classrooms. Wow!
According to teacher Abbie R., “The focus of middle school students is typically not on fundraising, which means that the Schwan’s Cares™ fundraising program is the perfect solution for our district.”
What makes the Schwan’s Cares program perfect? According to Ramel, “Schwan’s Cares is easy to set up and navigate for busy people. Students are able to create their own personal accounts linked with mine. They then have the opportunity to ask friends and family from all over the U.S. to support them.”
Both students and parents are fans of the program, says Ramel. “The students love to see how much money they have earned each day as the sales are tracked. Parents are excited that there is not a pickup or delivery for this fundraiser.” It’s been so successful; this is the second fundraiser they’ve done through Schwan’s Cares. So far they have been able to raise over $2,400 with their current campaign.
