Schwan’s Cares™ Success: Fundraising for Remembrance
By Schwan's Home Service, October 31, 2016
More than half a million American servicemen and women took part in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Unfortunately, it is the largest American war of the 20th century without a memorial in our Nation’s Capital.
The group National Desert Storm War Memorial Association out of Washington, DC was formed to advocate for the building of a national memorial in honor of those who served, those who stood behind them – and most importantly – the 383 U.S. servicemen who died while deployed during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. The fundraiser Build the National Desert Storm War Memorial is part of an effort to raise funds to construct the memorial – so far they have raised over $1,000.
This is the first time this group has raised funds using the Schwan’s Cares™ fundraising program. The campaign leader Jill Etter explains that they chose to use Schwan’s® because they “offer a very high quality food product and delivery right to your front door. We do not have to convince anyone that Schwan’s is a trustworthy product; their reputation precedes their name!” In addition to a high-quality product, Jill appreciates the ease and generosity of the Schwan’s Cares fundraising program, adding that it is “easily the best fundraising program I have ever worked with.”
When we asked Jill why she thought they were experiencing such success she said: “We are not trying to sell something that people do not want or need. We are simply letting people know we are fundraising through Schwan’s and encouraging them to place an order. The Schwan’s product will sell itself!”
