Schwan’s Cares™ Success: Raising Funds for Rescue
By Schwan's Home Service, September 30, 2016
The Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network (CPCRN) was founded to rescue homeless or soon-to-be-homeless Cairn Terriers in the United States and Canada. This nonprofit organization in Bradley, Illinois strives to make sure that this adorable breed is fostered and found by forever owners whenever possible.
The funds raised go toward the vetting, grooming and foster care of dogs taken in from shelters, owner surrenders and breeders. Though the organization charges a minimal adoption fee to carefully-screened adoptive families, the cost and care of the dogs well exceeds that fee. According to Nancy Weimer, a representative of CPCRN, “Fundraisers and volunteers keep our organization running and keep us able to save just one more life each day.”
This is the first time the group has used the Schwan’s Cares™ fundraising program to raise funds for the dogs. So far, they are loving it:
“Schwan’s makes it so easy… all we need is for supporters to place orders, receive their products and enjoy excellent food. Schwan’s does all the work and gives back a portion of those sales to further Col. Potter’s rescue efforts.”
CPCRN’s campaign has enjoyed early success – in just three weeks they have raised over $400. Nancy says, “Our goal of $1,500 is definitely attainable by the time the campaign ends in December. Thank you to all our supporters for helping our campaign. A huge thank you to Schwan’s for their Schwan’s Cares™ fundraising program and for giving back to worthy causes!”
